Mother Nature

MOTHER NATURE

Mother nature brings all kinds of
weather which brings all kinds of results!

RHUBARB
which grows like a weed.
It is a strange long stem stalk
which is red, pink and green in color.
It seems a bit like celery when cutting and chopping it.
I cut and dice and place in freezer bags so I can enjoy the rewards of MOTHER NATURE later in the year.

Many of you have had Rhubarb Pie,
Rhubarb Crisp but,
have you ever had Rhubarb Cake?
It is like a coffee cake with a crumb of cinnamon sugar and is
delicious served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The recipe can be found in the cookbook on page 127
I like to double the crumb cinnamon topping recipe!

RAINBOWS
How far do you have to go
to find the pot of GOLD?
This week we have a variety of specials on the shop site.
You will enjoy collections of
Minky at $9.95 per yard
Cotton yardage on sale
Kits and pattern ideas
New pre-cuts by Riley Blake in dots and chevrons
And don't miss the videos
www.mylazydaisyshop.com

Along with all the good stuff Mother Nature
brings in more creatures and critters.
Not always good!
With all the rain in St. George the Scorpions are moving in!
So my husband DB and I
have had to take matters in our own hands.
Who needs Bill the Exterminator when we can do the job?

It's Freaky and Cool all at the same time.
A black light at night makes the scorpions light up.
They stand out and can't hide...then we have to do the deadly job.
Everyone should experience this at least once in their lifetime.

keep posted for more fun and adventures
in the exiting days ahead!
You never know what tomorrow will bring?
