Our featured recipe today is Chile Verde, in order for you to SPICE UP YOUR LIFE with MY LAZY DAISY!
1 Tablespoon olive oil
3 boneless pork chops, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 Tablespoons flour
1 Cup chicken broth
1 Cup stewed tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 Cup chopped green chile or 1 small can of chopped green chiles
Heat the oil in a medium-sized skillet on medium heat. Brown the pork chop and cook for about 5-8 minutes. Add onion and cook until translucent. Sprinkle the flour over the meat and onions. Toss together and brown for 1 minute. Add all remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Add more chicken broth if it is too thick.
If you want to make the Chile Verde as a sauce without the meat, just skip over adding the pork chops and reduce the flour to 2 tablespoons.
